Tamron announced what it is calling "the smallest, lightest ultra-wide-angle zoom lens in its class”: the Tamron 17-35mm F/2.8-4 Di OSD (model A037). The lens will be available for full-frame DSLRs in a Nikon mount in September at $599. The Canon DSLR mount will follow at a date to be announced.

Tamron just announced the launch of a new zoom lens, the 35-150mm F/2.8-4 Di VC OSD (Model A043), for full-frame DSLR cameras. The new Tamron 35-150mm lens goes on sale May 23, 2019 in a Nikon mount version, and June 20, 2019 in a Canon mount version for $799.

Tamron just announced an 8X lens for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras that starts at 50mm and zooms to 400mm, widening the range of creative applications compared to telephoto zooms that begin at the 100mm focal length. In addition to beginning at 50mm (the established “normal” or “standard” focal length for full-frame cameras) the new ultra-telephoto zoom focuses as close as 9.8 inches, rendering a magnification ratio of 1:2 (one-half life size).

Tamron just announced that their 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 fast-aperture standard zoom lens that earned widespread popularity in the Sony E mount will be available soon for Nikon Z mount full-frame mirrorless cameras. The new 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (Model A063) for Nikon Z mount is expected to be available on April 18, 2024. Featuring Tamron's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism, the new 28-75mm zoom focuses as close at 7.1 inches (0.18m) at the 28mm position, producing a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7.
