These infographics from depositphotos illustrate which Nikon cameras are the most popular, the months Nikon users do the most shooting, what kind of images they photograph most, and which images were the best sellers. The first graphic below reveals the 8 best-selling camera beginning with the Nikon D800.

The second infographic reveals interesting information regarding the busiest months for Nikon shooters, and you’ll see that almost 73% of photos takes with Nikon cameras were shot in autumn and winter.

If you account for age of the body + when they were purchased and its alignment with the growth in stock photography + the recession + full frame versus DX + plus a popular burst in DSLR sales pre iPhone 7 + the subsequent drop in DSLR sales to consumers due to the smart phone + the Nikon DSLR still for sale today; the D810 should be number one. Probably followed by one of the 7000 series. Probably the 7100 and 7200.
