Casio, Inc. has announced the release of the EX-Z1000, the latest addition
to CASIO's series of EXILIM ZOOM digital cameras. The EX-Z1000 features
a new wide-format Super Bright LCD display. CASIO makes the most of this extra
screen space to offer new functions like simultaneous viewing of a wide angle
and a telephoto shot, and a convenient right-side set of icon controls. The
EX-Z1000 has an effective 10.1 million pixels, powered by a large 1/1.8-inch
format, high resolution CCD. The EX-Z1000's LCD display is a 2.8-inch
monitor in wide format. The EX-Z1000 will have a suggested retail price of $399.99
and will be available at retail in June.

The new Casio Exilim EX-HG20G (list price, about $350) is a pocket size camera that is a traveling companion for those who like to see where they’ve been. Some examples: during my test with the camera we turned down a dirt road and “got lost” in the back areas of Arroyo Hondo, NM. We saw various side roads going this way and that, roads that weren’t on any map we had in the car. We shot a few pictures with the H20G and later plugged the images into Aperture 3.1 in our MacBook Pro, used the Places feature and voila, we saw exactly where we had been and where those back roads led.

Casio, Inc. has announced the release of the latest addition to its EXILIM
ZOOM digital camera series with the EX-Z600. The latest evolution in this popular
series offers 6.0 megapixel high resolution photos in a compact, and pocket-sized
package. The extra large 2.7-inch Super Bright LCD is approximately three times
brighter than the previous EX-Z500 model, producing an impressive luminance
of 1200 candelas per square meter. This significant advancement makes the LCD
easier to see, especially when viewed in the sunny outdoors. In auto mode, the
LCD automatically adjusts to the brightness of the surrounding environment.
The EX-Z600's Super Life Battery now has an even longer battery life,
supporting a staggering 550 shots per charge.
