Ryan White was a 2001 scholarship student with the North American Nature Photography Association. He attended the Rocky Mountain School of Photography's professional nature course and began his studies at Brooks last September.

Nature photography is Ryan's prime interest, but he'll be studying all types of imaging at Brooks. "I thought Brooks was the best photography school for me to learn about everything in photography...studio work, large
format, lighting. I may not use all of it, but I'd like to know how to do it."

His goal is a career as a nature photographer, perhaps mixing fine art sales with teaching at workshops and photo treks. Among nature photographers, he especially admires the work of Art Wolfe and Jim Brandenburg.
