Samyang Launches New 135mm F/2.0 ED UMC Lens

Korean lens manufacturer Samyang has announced a new 135mm f/2.0 ED UMC len. The lens,  which will be available in in Canon, Nikon, Sony E and MFT mounts, is a full frame compatible, prime telephoto lens with a fast f/2.0 aperture and 11 elements in 7 groups.

Featuring one extra low dispersion lens element (ED) for maximum optical performance, low chromatic aberrations and a circular aperture of f/2.0 with 9 blades (for good bokeh, close head and shoulder portrait work and short telephoto). To help produce high contrast and true color reproduction, all of the lens elements have been coated with Samyang's multi-layered UMC anti-reflective coatings.



The Samyang 135mm lens is also available in a cine/video version and comes with a removable lens hood, and a front and rear lens caps—the filter size: 77mm.

The full range of mounts will include Canon EF, Nikon F (AE), Sony A, Sony E mount, Pentax K, Fujifilm X, Canon M, Samsung NX, Four Thirds and Micro Four Thirds (MFT). Pricing and availability have not been announced yet.
