Delkin Devices Introduces eFilm Archival Gold "100 Year" DVD-R

Delkin Devices, Inc., has introduced the long anticipated DVD-R addition to the popular eFilm Archival Gold media line. The eFilm Archival Gold DVD-R is now shipping to distributors and resellers all over the world.

The innovative materials and manufacturing methods used to produce eFilm Archival Gold DVD-R's make them among the most reliable storage media available. Results of an accelerated aging process used to test the longevity of DVD-R media show eFilm Archival Gold DVD-R's may safely store images for more than 100 years. This longevity test was conducted in accordance with ISO 18927-2002 guidelines.

A key component of Archival Gold DVD-R's durability is the use of gold in the reflective layer of the disc. Gold is one of the most inert, reflective (and expensive) elements on earth, which makes it perfect to resist the effects of temperature and humidity. These characteristics prevent oxidation, a common cause of failure to most CD-Rs. Thirty percent of Delkin's cost to produce every eFilm Archival Gold disc is due to the use of 24 karat gold.

All DVD-R versions of the Archival Gold line have an attractive packaging design easily distinguishable from the existing Archival Gold CD-R and Inkjet products. The DVD-R 10 Pack is sold in a protective plastic case that holds 10 DVD-R's in polypropylene sleeves (MSRP $29.99). Other packaging options include a 1" binder available with 16 each eFilm Archival Gold DVD-R's in protective sleeves (MSRP $46.99), a 25 pack in a cake box type spindle (MSRP $72.99), and a 100 pack in retail packaging (MSRP $279.99). Archival Gold products are available at photography and electronic stores worldwide, and online at www.delkin.com
