If you’re like most photographers and are enthralled by everything about Ansel Adams, you won’t want to miss this video tour inside his home.

Lenses are, perhaps, the most important (pardon the pun) element in photography but most photographers probably have no idea how they really work. If you want to learn about lens but you don’t have a lot of time and don’t want to break your brain, Canon has released simple and straightforward 3.5-minute video titled “How Lenses Function.”

The Faroe Islands are a bucolic archipelago of about 540 square miles between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. And as you might expect, this scenic locale wasn’t high on the list for obtaining Goggle’s Street View technology. So shepherd/engineer Durita Dahi Andreassen took measures into her own hands and created the “Sheep View” project for documenting the islands.

Ever since its introduction in mid-2015, the DXO One miniaturized camera for iPhone and iPad has enjoyed a small but loyal following for its compact form factor, sharp 32mm-equivalent lens, 1-inch/20.2-megapixel sensor, and impressive image quality. Today DXO announced what they call a “major update” for the device that’s sure to expand its popularity.

If you’re one of those photographers with shoe boxes full of medium format negatives and can’t afford an expensive film scanner to digitize them, here’s a simple solution: Dump out one of those shoe boxes and turn it into a scanner using the ingenious (and cheap) method provided in the following video.
