Fujifilm just introduced the new Fujinon XF16mm F1.4 R WR, a weather-resistant, fixed focal length lens (24mm in 35mm format equivalent) for its X-series mirrorless cameras. The F1.4 maximum aperture in the XF16mm is designed to provide high image quality in low-light conditions, and beautiful bokeh-rich macro photography with a minimum working distance of less than six inches for a variety of shooting possibilities.

Fujifilm announced today it will be offering an IR (Infrared) version of its pro-level X-T1 mirrorless camera. Called, appropriately, the Fujifilm XT-1 IR (Infrared), the camera is aimed at law enforcement, medical research and scientific communities, which use IR photography as part of their work, Fuji said. Applications include crime scene investigation, healthcare diagnostics and observation, and other scientific and technical applications.
