I spoke with Pepper Yandell only days before he left for Dubai on an automotive assignment. In fact, while he does shoot domestically, many of his jobs take him overseas, to the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Asia, and South America. And sometimes the work even extends to aviation. But the project doesn’t end in camera.

For many of us, going out into the wilderness with a camera and bringing back eye-opening photographs of nature in the raw is something we can only dream of. For multi-award-winning photographer Ashleigh Scully that’s fairly commonplace.

When I opened Michael Shainblum’s Instagram page, I sat there mesmerized by the landscape images and videos. After some minutes, I had to remind myself that I had work to do.

Social media collectively is an interactive medium through which the world shares experiences, thoughts and ideas, music, and, of preeminent importance to the photographic community, visual media. One might say that Ben Cooper rocketed to stardom in high school. Back then he knew nothing about space launches, except for the fact that he wanted to shoot them. While not a sci-fi fan, he found himself captivated by the entire concept of going into space.

Norwegian Daniel Tengs sets himself apart from other extreme sports photographers in at least one key respect: he goes the extra mile, capturing snowboarders on medium format, namely the Fujifilm GFX 50S. Not exclusively, mind you, but with a certain flair so we can say his photo shoots with this format create a near mind-bending experience for the viewer.
