Metz Unveils Pocket-Sized Mecablitz 26 AF-1 Compact Flash

Metz has unveiled the new Mecablitz 26 AF-1, a compact flash unit with high-end features. The new pocket-sized Mecablitz 26 AF-1 is designed for use with compact point-and-shoot cameras and mirrorless interchangeable lens camera systems (with built-in hot shoes), providing more power than integrated camera flashes.

The compact Mecablitz 26 AF-1 offers a full suite of advanced features and a guide number of 26 (85 feet) for ISO 100/21° and 85mm. Easy to use (even for beginners), all of the adjustments to the flash settings are made using the LED display and function keys. The 26 AF-1 also incorporates a rotating reflector for indirect illumination, a wide-angle diffuser and an integrated LED light that can be used as a constant, always-on light source for properly illuminating subjects when capturing HD video.

Powered by two AAA batteries, the Mecablitz 26 AF-1 also comes with a handy bag for traveling and on-location shooting. The compact flash unit will be available nationwide for $129 and offered in five versions:
