Versatile Wireless Flash Transceiver Offers High-Speed Sync with Multiple Camera Brands for $95

When Cactus introduced its V6 wireless flash transceiver it created a lot of buzz because of an affordable price and it’s cross-brand compatibility. The company's newest model, the V6 II, offers all that and more; specifically, high-speed synchronization and compatibility with Fujifilm cameras (and the original five brands).

Scheduled for availability next month at the modest price of $95, the V6 II delivers remote power control of Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus and Pentax cameras and supports shutter speeds up to 1/8000 in the Normal HSS mode.  There’s also a Power Sync mode which boosts flash beyond the camera’s x-sync speed.

As you can see in the tutorial video below, operation is straightforward despite the array of features offered. An auto LED AF-assist lamp facilitates autofocus in the dark, and the V6 II’s Auto-Detect feature simplifies setup. There’s also a remote zoom control that works with all compatible TTL flash units.

If you’re a Sony shooter don’t dismay, because Cactus has also introduced the V6 IIs for Sony cameras with all key features of the cross-brand unit. This model incorporates a Sony-compatible hot shoe on the transceiver for seamless operation with Sony cameras and flashes.

The Cactus V6 II and IIs will be available in July and August respectively—both priced at $95. While you’re waiting, watch the tutorial below and learn about using wireless flash.
