Maybe a Classic Canon 5D from 2005 Is All You Need for Great Photography? Here Are 5 Reasons Why
Yes, there’s a ton of great new photography gear out there that can do just about every trick under the sun. But do you really need to spend all your hard-earned cash on a fresh new camera rig when something older might be good enough?
According to photographer Mattias Burling, less than $80 is all you need to spend. Burling recently bought a used Canon 5D and offers his 5 reasons why you should consider buying one too in the video below.
“At $76, this was the cheapest full frame camera I could find,” Burling explains. “It was announced way back in 2005 but still packs quite the punch. Here are five reasons why I think it’s a great buy even in 2018."
Check out his five reasons listed below, and then watch the video where he explains them and shows off images he captured with the 5D.
“Note that most images in the video are more or less straight from camera with only minor contrast adjustments. Also, I have cropped just about every image. And given that it’s a 12MP sensor, skip the peeping.”
5 Reasons
1. Low Price
2. Lenses
3. Still a Pro Camera
4. Canon Colors
5. Sense of Purity
