Hasselblad has joined forces with Motorola to try bring some of the Swedish company’s legendary imaging knowledge to smartphone cameras. Called the Hasselblad True Zoom, the Hassy-branded Moto Mod device snaps onto Motorola Z smartphones using magnets and adds a 10x optical zoom and Raw image capability.

This breathtaking photo by Jackie Tran may look like it was captured on another planet but it was actually taken from the northern shore of Iceland’s Snæfellsnes peninsula. “It’s about two miles from Grundarfjörður town,” Tran told Shutterbug. “And the main mountain in the background of the photo is called Kirkjufell.”

Because of the “this is why we can’t have nice things” antics of several idiots flying drones, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) now requires every drone (and RC aircraft) weighing more than 0.55 pounds to register their craft and have an identification label. Pilots are also required to carry Flight ID.
