Olympus took the wraps off a new entry-level mirrorless camera this morning: the small and retro-styled Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. Like several of Olympus’ models in its mirrorless camera lineup, the E-M10 Mark II uses a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor in the Micro Four Thirds Format.

Olympus Imaging America has announced its national sweepstakes, which will
send five winners and their doubles partner on a weekend getaway (August 31-
September 2, 2007) in New York City to experience the fast action and excitement
of the US Open 2007 Tennis Tournament. Olympus sweepstakes champions will receive
hotel, airfare, spending cash and two admission tickets to the world-class tennis
tournament, including exclusive access to designated professional photography

drama.

About a year and a half ago I found myself on the road from Yen Minh to Lung Phin, Vietnam, but I wasn’t going anywhere: the road was blocked by a cement truck that had lost traction on a switchback section and crushed the side of the road, blocking traffic in both directions. Along with other motorists, I worked for over two hours trying to get the truck righted, and during those hours there were a few times that I remember asking myself, what am I doing here?
