Nikon just announced the new AF-P Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR lens. The new Nikkor 70-300mm lens features enhanced Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization capability and adds a stepping motor designed for fast and quiet AF performance, making it Nikon’s first full-frame AF-P lens.
Nikon has launched the AF-S Nikkor 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR, a fixed focal length super-telephoto lens compatible with Nikon FX-format (aka full frame) digital SLR cameras.
Nikon launched a new digital SLR and two long lenses at CES tonight. The company unveiled the D5500, an advanced amateur DSLR sporting a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter (OLPF) and a new 3.2-inch varia-angle LCD touchscreen on back.
Nikon is shooting for the stars with its newest DSLR. Called the D810A and built, as its name suggests, on the full frame D810, the new camera is designed for astrophotography and other scientific applications.
Nikon just announced a brand new palm-sized, premium camera line with some classic Nikkor lens features. Called the DL series, the cameras include the DL24-85, DL18-50 and DL24-500 models, which combine Nikkor optics with large 20.8-megapixel (CX-format) 1-inch BSI CMOS sensors.
Nikon announced the new LD-1000 LED Movie Light, an optional lighting accessory for Nikon 1 and COOLPIX cameras. The LD-1000 LED Movie Light is compact and lightweight, making it convenient to take anywhere. Additionally, it features a built-in diffusion panel, enabling natural, even exposure and smooth textures with soft light. For further versatility, the bracket can be removed from the movie light, allowing it to be held in the hand for free control over the angle of lighting.
Nikon finally admitted to what has been rumored for months now. The company is developing a “next-generation full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless camera and Nikkor lenses featuring a new mount,” Nikon said in a press announcement tonight.
After shooting with Nikon’s extraordinary AF-S Nikkor 180-400mm f/4E TC1.4 FL ED VR lens last year I wondered what their next telephoto zoom lens would be. We didn’t have to wait long, because hiding in the wings was the fast and powerful Nikkor AF-S 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR.
Nikon just released NX Studio, a new all-in-one software application that integrates functions from Nikon ViewNX-i and Nikon Capture NX-D. It’s available as a free download and you don’t have to shoot with Nikon to use it.
The fix is in! Nikon announced this morning it's offering free inspections and repairs for D750 digital SLRs affected by a problem where a dark shadowy band appears in images with lens flare.
As part of the flagship Performance Series of COOLPIX cameras, the P90 offers new features that include a 24x Optical Zoom, a new 3.0-inch vari-angle LCD monitor with tilt function and anti-reflection coating; and 15 frame-per-second (fps) high-speed capability (up to 45 frames). The key to the versatility of the P90 is its 24x Optical Wide Angle Zoom-NIKKOR ED Glass Lens. This lens offers wide angle (26mm) to super telephoto coverage (624mm).
