This Is the World's Smallest F/1.4 Lens (Leica 35mm): But Is It Worth $4,000?

Lens guru Mathieu Stern recently had a chance to try out a vintage-version of the Leica Summilux M 35mm F1.4, which is selling for nearly $4000 on eBay. The lens is noteworthy not just because it's a Leica, but because it's the world's smallest F/1.4 lens.

A fan of Stern's popular YouTube channel lent him this small and fast prime lens, and he puts it through its paces in the below video, where he tests four things:

• Colors

• Sharpness

• Low Light

• Close-up

Does Stern think the Leica Summilux M 35mm F1.4 is worth all the money and hype? We won't give away any spoilers, but let's just say that shooting with this small wonder was a real eye-opening experience for him. Watch the video below to see his results.
