Here Are 3 Reasons You Should Consider Getting a Telephoto Zoom Lens Now (Shutterbug Video)

Shutterbug photographer Jordan Matter is back with a new how-to video, this time giving you three reasons you should seriously consider adding a telephoto zoom lens to your gear bag now. In the video, which we’ve embedded below, Matter tries out the new Tamron 100-400mm f/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD ($799) telephoto zoom in New York City while shooting portraits, sports, and wildlife.

Yes, you’ve really got to see what kind of “wildlife” Matter captures with the Tamron 100-400mm lens while foraging through the urban jungles of New York. (Editor’s note: No squirrels were harmed during this shoot.) For the portraiture and sports sections, he photographs model and dancer Katherien Broug, who literally stops traffic while Matter captures her near NYC’s Columbus Circle.
