In terms of the arsenal of lenses typically used by a landscape photographer, a 24-105mm would not seem to rate highly. Photographer Mads Peter Iversen, however, disagrees, arguing in the below video that a 24-105mm zoom lens is a "must own" piece of gear for landscape shooters.

Nikon just unveiled the new Nikon D6 professional DSLR camera and the AF-S NIKKOR 120-300mm f/2.8E FL ED SR VR telephoto zoom lens. But hold your horses. This is just a "development" announcement for the D6 and Nikkor 120-300mm lens from Nikon, so details about this new flagship DSLR and telephoto zoom are scant.

It's prime time again with photographer Julia Trotti! We've long sung the praises of super telephoto lenses. Last year, Shutterbug photographer Jordan Matter offered three reasons why he loves shooting portraits with a 100-400mm lens. And today, landscape photographer Mark Denney weighs in with his video below on why he thinks every landscape photographer needs a super telephoto.

Tamron has a long history of producing versatile, do-everything lenses and the Tamron 35-150mm F/2.8-4 Di VC OSD (Model A043) continues with that heritage. I received the Canon EF-mount version of the lens for testing, but a Nikon F-mount version is also available at the same price. While designed for Canon’s full-frame EF-mount cameras, the Tamron 35-150mm lens can also be used with their APS-C models where it produces a field-of-view equivalent to 56-240mm.
