Last week New York City played host to the annual PhotoPlus Expo event. More than just a consumer shopping show, PPE shines because the sponsors do a terrific job of assembling useful seminars, knowledgeable speakers, photo walks and more. Thousands of photo enthusiasts converge on Jacobs Javits Center to mix with hundreds of professional photographers, photo manufacturer employees and a few journalists. 

Since you’re visiting our website, chances are you take photography seriously. But regardless of personal style and the images you shoot most, we bet you’ll find it difficult not to laugh at the following video describing five types of photographers.

There are a variety of technician-approved methods for cleaning a camera’s sensor, but the cringeworthy video below is definitely not one of them. And just in case you’re watching this “tutorial” with the volume turned down and you are seriously lacking in common sense, what you see below is meant to be humor.

We’ve all heard that photography “rules” are meant to be broken on occasion, but in the video below photographer Benjamin Jaworskyj takes this notion a bit further—claiming that five common precepts of photography are out-and-out ‘lies.”

It’s July 5^th and a lot of folks in the U.S. are just coming back to work after celebrating Independence Day.
