If you never use a tripod, there are a few photographic techniques you’re not using. Why miss big chunks of the fun?

Benro has reinvented the tabletop tripod. The Benro Tablepod Flex is one of those products that makes you smack yourself on the head and yell, “Why didn’t I think of that?” But there’s more than just sizzle here—there’s a fully flexible leg hidden inside each of the three rigid carbon fiber legs, and man are they useful.

Our maniacally creative friends in England have been at it again. It’s almost unbelievable, the way the folks at 3 Legged Thing keep refining perfection in their tripods, but somehow they do. There were so many three-legged accessory creatures at the last Photo Plus Expo in New York that for a moment I thought I was at a petting zoo in Chernobyl.
