Substance Of Style
The University of the Arts is a four-year college that stresses the business as well as the artistic and technical aspects of photography. Anna is a senior in the photography program and will graduate with a BFA degree. "Fashion is what I'm most interested in," she says, and she plans to move to New York upon graduation to pursue the traditional way of breaking into the field: finding a job as an assistant. She's previously been an assistant to two photographers, and she is currently East Coast contributing photographer to the online magazine Sparechange.

The photos you see here are from a personal project that became her final thesis for her studio photography course.
