This is a photo of a side entrance to Bran Castle near Brasov, Romania. It is claimed that the castle belonged to “Vlad the Impaler,” who was the inspiration for the fictional character Dracula. The photo was taken with a Nikon D200 and a Nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens at 20 mm. The exposure (in daylight) was f/9 and 1/1000 sec (ISO 400). A low-key black & white effect was obtained with Photoshop and Nik plug-ins. Image by Irwin H. Segel.
