This icon is Devil's Tower in Wyoming. It was a location used during the filming of Close Encounters of the Third Kind way back in the late 70's. This was my first ever visit to this unique monument. No aliens this time though. Capturing it and looking at it in B and W helps to accentuate the texture and details not only of the butte, although the foreground as well.
