M-22 is a 116 mile long Michigan highway that runs from Manistee Michigan to Traverse City Michigan I follows the Lake Michigan coast from Manistee County, through Benzie County, Leelanau County into Grand Traverse County. It crosses secetions of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Park. In 2015, the readers of USA Today voted M-22 the "best scenic autumn drive" in the nation. The highway signs have become iconic throughout Michigan and the Midwest. This composite is one segment of highway in all four seasons in Benzie County. It took two years to complete because the signs are commonly stolen and have to be replaced. Shot witha Nikon D800E and Nikkor 24-70 F/2.8 lens. Other setting varied.
