Peripheral vision can be both magical and mysterious. Driving to the coast a figure off to the right caught my eye, and turning back I parked the car off the road and began clambering among a lot of felled trees. At the back this felled trunk lay half hidden. It was Valentine's week, and a few days later the trunk was buried under others of its kind. Nikon 5200, 18-55 Nikon VR II lens with B+W polarizer at 22mm, f16. Manfrotto tripod, timed release.
