The image started as a snapshot taken through a bus window while traveling in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. A Nikon D80 was used with a Nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens at 18 mm. The exposure was f/11 and 1/50 sec. The abstract effect was produced mainly with the Cutout filter of Photoshop CS5.
