Two southern white rhinos, mother and offspring, having just emerged from enjoying a muddy bath in the Sabi Sand Wildlife Reserve of South Africa. We pulled up in our LandRover to observe them doing what rhinos do in a shallow pond when these two decided to emerge and pass us at a distance that was not comfortable to us; obviously that distance was just fine with the rhinos. Shot hand-held with a Nikon D4, 80-400 at 190mm, iso 2,000, f8, 1,250 sec, +0.7 EV in manual mode.
