Watch an Octopus Named Rambo Take Underwater Photos of Tourists with a Sony Camera (VIDEO)

Meet Rambo, an octopus at a New Zealand aquarium that's trained to take photos of tourists with a Sony camera. It’s an amazing stunt, which you can see in the below video, but not all that surprising if you know a thing or two about octopuses, which are some of the cleverest undersea creatures out there.

“When we first tried to get her to take a photo, it only took three attempts for her to understand the process,” Mark Vette, Rambo’s trainer at Kelly Tarlton’s Sea Life Aquarium in New Zealand said. “That’s faster than a dog. Actually it’s faster than a human in some instances.”

For a $2 donation to the aquarium (which goes to offset expenses), tourists can get their photo snapped by Rambo. The octopus uses a Sony DSC-TX30 camera that’s fitted into a custom made housing mounted onto the tank.

In case you’re worried that Rambo is being overworked as a slave photographer in the name of tourism, the aquarium says her snapping hours are quite limited. Be sure to check Rambo’s schedule if you’re planning to book a trip to see what Sony is calling “the world’s first Octopus photographer.”
