Lowepro Launches Fastpack II Line of Photography and Laptop Backpacks

Lowepro has launched the “next generation” of its travel-focused camera/laptop backpacks: the Fastpack II series. The Lowepro Fastpack II backpacks are designed to provide room for your camera gear and your laptop computer while giving you fast access to everything in a safe and secure pack that’s easy to travel with.

The Fastpack II line includes two new backpacks for photographers: the Fastpack 150 AW II ($99) and the Fastpack 250 AW II ($129). Each Fastpack II bag features a padded easy-access compartment for a DSLR camera with lens.

New additions to this new generation of packpacks from Lowepro include an all-weather protective cover to keep gear shielded during downpours, and the ability to secure the pack to rolling trolleys for easier airport travel.

The Fastpack 150 AW II can hold up to an 11-inch laptop in a dedicated, padded device zone, and one to two extra lenses or flashes in the camera zone. The larger Fastpack 250 AW II can fit a 15-inch laptop, along with up to three additional lenses or flashes. Both backpacks come with a padded, removable waistbelt that can be stashed during travel.

Additional features of the Lowepro Fastpack II series include a device zone with “CradleFit” tablet protection; an open zone for extra gear; and a tall stretch-mesh side pocket that can fit tripods. Each pack can also hold smartphones, headphones, keys, accessories and a hard drive in addition to a camera, laptop and tablet.
