Our own Jon “The Bag Man” Sienkiewicz knows a thing or two about photo bags – check out his takes on the latest Domke, Manfrotto, and Vanguard models – but we’re guessing his collection of camera packs, pouches and satchels doesn’t rival David Alan Harvey’s.

Let say you have 50 Canon EOS-1D X professional digital SLRs lying around, and are looking for something to do with them. Here’s a fun idea: create a stunning bullet-time shot that appears to freeze the action, and then somersaults 360 degrees over your subject for an out-of-this-world effect.

The very rare and very large Nikkor 6mm F/2.8 Fisheye Lens surfaces every once in a while and when it does, people’s heads turn. If you’re not so sure about DxO Mark’s much-discussed, negative review of the Canon 7D Mark II and you’ve got some free time on your hands (over 34 minutes, to be precise), you’ll want to check out the below video from photographer Tony Northrup. We thought our job was pretty cool until we saw this great short video from Lockheed Martin. In the clip, aerial photographer Liz Kaszynski talks about what it’s like to photograph fighter jets from the air.

We’ve seen a lot of silly self-promotion videos from photographers before, but nothing quite as goofy as Chris Bauer’s “Male Photographer of the Year” spoof on YouTube.

Years ago I took a photograph of prayer flags at a Buddhist monastery in Bhutan, and as I was shooting the image I wished I could also shoot video to record the movement of the flags and the sound they made as they danced in the wind.

This should bring a tear to the eye of digital camera users the world over.
