Reflection of the past. The Boott Mills in Lowell, Massachusetts were a part of an extensive group of cotton mills, built in 1835 alongside a power canal system in this important cotton town. Their founder was Kirk Boott, one of the early mill leaders in Lowell.

This black and white photograph of Boott Cotton Mill stands out bright. The reflection of the photographed subject in the water makes the capture so unique. The photographer has put soul in the shot.
