Originally a sherry advertisement on a hilltop south of Madrid, El Toro was eventually painted black and became a much-loved icon. The somewhat rickety support in back seems to signify something. Shot on Ilford Delta 100 film using the Mamiya 220 with its 135mm lens. Printed 18x18" on Ilford Multigrade Fiber Base and toned with selenium.
