Zoo Miami is one of the major zoos in the country, and uses open exhibits, not cages. I am fascinated by the Lowland Gorillas, and every time I go to the zoo I stop by to make some shots. This female was very shy, and situated herself in a little alcove away from the other gorillas, and from we humans. She had her face hidden behind the foilage for quite a while; and just when I was about to move on, she peaked out over the top of the plants and I was able to make the shot.
