Part of a larger series I have been working on. In this photo the observer peers into the object in its grasp. The questions arise... is this object like/unlike itself? Is it a smaller version of itself? Is the observer aware of how it is different from this object? Is the observer capable of such contemplation? Or is it only a machine dispatched to clean up remnants of other machines? Ultimately, the hollowness of both circles indicates there is an emptiness in the answers (or lack thereof) to these questions. The only meanings associated with them are those which are attributed to them by the viewer. A not very subtle allegory to the experience of the human mind perceiving the world around it.
