It was a cold January morning and the ice on the lake was solid and covered in freshly fallen undisturbed snow. The lighting was just right to help me create a solid white background for the dark metal barbwire. I used my 70-200mm F4 IS L lens to isolate one strand from the barbwire fencing. (Canon Rebel XS, ISO 400, F8, 97mm, and Canon DPP and Picasa software to convert the image to black and white).
