I took this portrait of my grandmother, Josephine, just before I took her to the 12:00-noon mass at church. Her portrait was part of larger portrait series I did for class photographing some of Harrison, NY's oldest residents. She suggested taking the portrait near her favorite orchid.
Only available window light was used. I used a Nikon D7100 with an AF Micro Nikkor 60 mm f/2.8 lens. ISO 800, 1/400 s at f/5.6. Lightroom was used to convert the image to black & white.
