My kids and I had a short break so we decided to go to the beach on Galveston Island. The boys were determined to hit the beach, regardless of the weather. On our first morning, we headed down with boogie boards and all of our sand castle supplies and were met with wind like we have never before experienced. The youngest two started crying because the sand was blowing in their eyes so I took them back up to the beach house, but only after I got this shot of Mother Nature's awesomeness. The wind was blowing so hard, the top layer of sand was being blown down the beach, mimicking the ferocity of the waves and the angle of the clouds. I shot this on a Nikon d750 with a Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART lens at ISO 200, f/16 and 1/50 sec.
