Shutterbug Photo of the Day

Today’s Shutterbug Photo of the Day is a beautiful black-and-white image by Neil Williams titled “Clouds Over Pikes Peak.” Williams shot it with a Nikon D600 and Sigma 35mm F/1.4 Art lens handheld. Settings were F/11, 1/200 sec, ISO 100.

“I created this image last May (2014) in Denver Colorado,” Williams writes about his shot. “I made the trip to Pikes Peak with a few friends and only brought my camera and one prime lens as I didn't anticipate I would get much serious photography in. I made this image on the way up the mountain. We were crossing over the river and noticed this great scene and just had to stop.”

Williams used Nik SilverEffex Pro 2 along with Lightroom for processing and black-and-white conversion.
