Our Shutterbug Photo of the Day by Michelle Sherwood is a beautiful close-up of a pelican with its beak nestled in its soft feathers.

“Pelican ready for a morning nap at Flamingo Gardens Wildlife Sanctuary in Davie, Florida,” writes Sherwood.

This image was captured with a Sony A7R II mirrorless camera at ISO 125, f/4, 1/200 sec.
