I was shooting in the Lancaster County area of PA on a beautiful spring day in April of 2005. I came upon this pond accidentally when I found it in the backyard of a house as I drove along Rte 772. Spring blossoms were right. The swan just slowly swam toward me as I stood still and waited for the right moment to shoot. I used a Nikon F6 film camera and an 18 to 35 mm Nikkor zoom lens. Exposure was probably F11 to F16 handheld. Negative scanned to make a jpeg.
