Up this close, the Pemaquid lighthouse is mostly black and white to the naked eye. I found the little bit of color distracting, and processed the image in Lightroom and SilverEfxPro to get the texture and contrast that seemed right to me.
Sony A700, Tamron 18-200 at 135mm, f/11, 1/800 sec, ISO 200. I needed f/11 to get everything sharp; ISO 200 seemed to be the sweet spot for that camera.
