I shot this image on September 16, 2016 in the Badlands, South Dakota just as the harvest moon was rising on the horizon. I knew the moon-rise time was 7:23pm, so I found an overlook and set up my camera on a tripod as the sun was setting. I used an Olympus PEN-F with a 300mm/f4 lens. Exposure was 0.5 sec @ f/9.0 and ISO 200.
