This photo was taken on a rainy August day while I was standing in a doorway on Rue de Rivoli, Paris, across the street from the Tuileries Garden. A Nikon D200 with a Nikkor 18-200 mm VR lens at 20 mm was used; the exposure was f/13 and 1/1000 sec. While the lighting was not what most photographers would consider to be “gorgeous”, it allowed me to record a memorable scene before the weather cleared.
