I shot this in Sea World, Orlando, Florida. I was trying to capture a pose other than a 'standing in the water' pose, and I got lucky! The bird not only took a scratch, but looked right into the camera. I converted the image to B&W to enhance his plumage, retain his color, and separate him from the mundane colors of the background.
Nikon D700, Nikkor 80-400 zoom lens set at 200mm. Camera set on Program, ISO set on auto.
B&W conversion and vignetting done with Nik Silver Efex Pro2 via Photoshop CS6
