Canon Intros New PIXMA MX492 Compact Wireless All-In-One Printer

Canon’s new PIXMA MX492 is a compact wireless inkjet office all-in-one printer designed to produce high-quality documents and photos. The Canon PIXMA MX492's features include advanced wireless connectivity, an automatic document feeder, borderless printing, fax function and fast print speeds (approximately 8.8 images per minute for B&W prints and 4.4 for color). It offers high-quality printing with a four-color hybrid ink system that combines dye ink for vivid colors and black pigment ink for sharp text.

(Canon also introduced new PowerShot cameras and the new Connect Station CS100 Network Storage Device at CES this morning.)

The advanced wireless connectivity solutions in the PIXMA MX492 provide the flexibility to manage print jobs from nearly anywhere in your home. The PIXMA Printing Solutions application enables direct access to the cloud through the PIXMA Cloud Link, users can easily print and scan images/documents from many of the most popular online social platforms and services including: Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Photobucket, Dropbox, Evernote, Creative Park and Creative Park Premium, Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive. Users are also able to use the PPS app to check ink model number information, online printer user manuals and other important printer information.

Helping increase productivity even further is Access Point Mode. With this feature, users can connect their compatible mobile device to the printer directly through Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for an external wireless access point, such as a router. Users can share scanned documents and photos by scanning data directly to email, or attaching scanned data to a draft email.

The Canon PIXMA MX492 is now available in black and white versions for $100.
