Behind the Scenes on a Boudoir Shoot with Pro Tips & Techniques (VIDEO)

If you've ever wanted a behind-the-scenes (BTS) look at a boudoir photography session complete with tips and posing techniques, the below video is for you. Led by Elizabeth Clem, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based professional boudoir photography, the tutorial gives you some insider advice on how to get started in shooting boudoir.

"Boudoir is one of my favorite types of photography and I am so excited to share how I work with my clients with this video," Clem says. "Boudoir is intimate and personal, but also bold and confidence boosting. I honestly believe I have one of the best jobs and I hope that taking you along with me to work today will inspire you to either book a session with a photographer you trust or inspire you to create a fun and uplifting experience for your own clients."

In the 25-minute clip at the bottom of this post, Clem gives you the BTS on how to capture a dark and moody boudoir session. For the tutorial, she's using a Nikon D750 DSLR and 35mm f/1.8 throughout. Because it's an actual session with a client, the sound is not always great, so we recommend turning on the Closed Captions subtitles to catch everything that is being discussed.

If you're looking for more boudoir tips and techniques after you watch the below BTS session, you should check out this tutorial with three ways to capture beautiful dark and moody boudoir photos, and this how-to with seven great boudoir poses for any body type.
