I assume they're switching to a subscription service. I will probably not bother to upgrade in that case.
Adobe has changed the way future editions of Photoshop will be accessed.

Have been in Photoshop since first or second version! So long ago I don't remember which one it was. Have since upgraded faithfully all the way to CS5.5.
This new idea Adobe has will keep me in CS5.5 forever. I will not "lease by the month, or year" for that matter. I want a shiny silver disk for my $600+!
Computer makers want us to use our fingers and gesture our way through when using software. That is stupid. There are certain things professionals do that will never be able to be done with a thick ole' finger.
Now software publishers want us to use the "cloud" to serve software. So what happens if servers go down? Hack attack?
Software publishers realized they could save millions by not including a printed instruction book, now they want even more bottom line by not even giving us a CD! I love Photoshop, but I think it's time for a boycott.
Welcome to the 21st century, please drive through.
