Featuring Tamron's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focus mechanism, the new 28-75mm zoom focuses as close at 7.1 inches (0.18m) at the 28mm position, producing a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7.
