I was driving on 89A near the scenic overlook at the top of the switchbacks, north of Sedona, when I came across this controlled burn. I found a safe place to pull over and started shooting. I had about half an hour before the night would be pitch black. I shot as long as I could.
This type of photography can be very dangerous, so I don't recommend that anyone do it. I've had experience with dangerous situations with a background in law enforcement, and similar careers, so I knew what to watch out for.
