While waiting for the clouds to clear to view the Aurora, we did some light painting of this frosty tree. After a 20 second exposure, I happily discovered the Aurora had penetrated the clouds and painted everything a lovely green. On this Fall evening in Alaska, it was a mere -15 degrees F. Canon 6D, F3.5, 20 seconds, ISO3200, hand and foot warmers. Ondrea Hidley
